Why CAMPERing?
While out one evening, I shared a video walk-through of our brand new camper with a friend. Her response? "That's NOT camping, you know." It was at that moment that I realized that I was being "camper-shamed." And, by golly, I was not going to take it anymore.
In that split second, my defensive - yet prideful - reply launched from my mouth... "You're right. It's not camping. It's CAMPERing." And, so the concept was born.
Throughout the years, I have only known 2 "mainstream" terms for what it is we love to do:
Since neither of these terms really explains what we do, we created our own. You guessed it: CAMPERing. We get away from it all by taking it all with us.
And, we hold our heads high while doing it.

Throughout the years, I have only known 2 "mainstream" terms for what it is we love to do:
- Camping - which, as I mentioned above, opens us up to "camper shaming" by those who either love to "rough it" or those who just simply think that's what it means because they tented once in their back yard as a kid; or
- Glamping - which is a term that makes me feel like I should pack an evening gown for after the day's hike. This is not a term my husband embraces either.
